ZZ Image and Sound

Founded by siblings Bruno, a musician and visual artist, and Monica Palazzo, a director and art director, the production company is dedicated to the development and realization of original works in image and sound, promoting authorial processes and the creation of narratives that investigate and articulate sound, image, movement, and presence. In 2019, screenwriter and researcher Maya Guizzo joined the team, formalizing long-standing creative collaborations.

Based in São Paulo, their work encompasses film, as well as installations, performances, and exhibitions. They collaborate with creative partners in various related fields.

We offer services in scriptwriting, content research, directing, art direction, set design, exhibition design, sound design, soundtrack composition, music production, and cultural project writing.

ZZ Imagem e Som is co-producing the feature film "A invenção do outro" (2022), directed by Bruno Jorge, who has had a successful run at major festivals. Winner of the Candango trophy for best cinematography, editing, and sound editing.

Recently, he produced the short films "Dilema" (2025), in 360° cinema, directed by Monica Palazzo, unreleased; and "Theo" (2026), directed by Monica Palazzo and Jo Galvv, awaiting festival responses. And "Pé na Bunda S/A", directed and co-produced by Jo Galvv.

Her portfolio includes the short films "Páginas de Menina" (2008) and "Mãe do Ouro" (2017), directed and produced by Monica Palazzo; the "1718, 1972 and 2009" Trilogy for Fucking Different SP (2009) directed by Monica Palazzo and Jo Galvv, all produced by Filmes de Abril, a production company of which Monica was also a partner.
